Creating a safe haven for animals and a place of healing for people through the power of nature.
Boulderwood Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing lifelong sanctuary care for rescued farm animals and small exotic animals.
Wildlife rehabilitation is also conducted by a state-licensed rehabilitator, focusing on small mammals with the goal of stabilizing, treating, and safely returning injured and orphaned native wildlife to the wild.
Wildlife is not housed long-term as sanctuary animals and is not part of the resident sanctuary population.
All wildlife cases are managed under licensed rehabilitation protocols and either transferred to partner facilities or rehabilitated for release when appropriate.
Beyond animal care, Boulderwood also exists as a place for people to reconnect with nature, slow down, and experience the grounding and perspective that comes from compassionate coexistence.
We give animals a safe place to land—whether that means lifelong sanctuary care or a second chance at the wild—while offering people a space to reconnect with the natural world and their place within it.

Our vision reflects the future we’re working to create.
Our vision is a world where animals thrive, people find healing through connection with nature, and compassion strengthens the way humans live alongside wildlife and the natural world.

We’re raising $4,000 to build a dedicated Bunny House at Boulderwood Animal Sanctuary. This space will provide safe shelter, enrichment, and long-term care for rescued rabbits who have been abandoned or neglected.
Your donation helps cover materials, interior build-out, predator-proofing, and supplies to give these bunnies a secure place to land.
You can donate here and click the "bunny house" option in the dropdown menu.
